Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Simply click 'Log in with Replit' on the landing page. Your account will be created automatically using your Replit credentials. No additional sign-up required!
Is there a mobile app?
EVMerx is a responsive web application that works great on mobile browsers. Simply navigate to the website on your phone and add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.
Finding Power
How do I find a power provider?
Use the 'Find Power' feature to search for providers near your location. The AI will automatically match you with the best options based on distance, price, availability, and your specific needs.
What types of power providers are available?
We have four types: Solar Panels, Generators, EV Charging Stations, and Battery Storage. Each type offers different capacity and pricing options.
How does the AI matching work?
Our AI analyzes your location, power needs, urgency level, and preferences to find the best matching providers. It considers distance, price, availability, provider ratings, and real-time capacity to suggest optimal matches.
What if I need power urgently?
Use the 'Emergency Request' button on the dashboard. This prioritizes your request and activates immediate matching with available providers in your area.
Becoming a Provider
How do I become a power provider?
Go to 'My Providers' and click '+ Add Provider'. Fill in your power setup details including type, capacity, pricing, and location. Once verified, you'll appear in search results.
What equipment do I need?
You need any energy source that can charge EVs: solar panels with inverters, generators, dedicated EV charging stations, or battery storage systems. Make sure your setup meets local electrical codes.
How do I get paid?
Connect your Stripe account through the provider dashboard. When bookings are completed, payments are automatically processed and transferred to your account after our platform fee is deducted.
What is the platform fee?
EVMerx charges a 1% platform fee on completed bookings. This covers payment processing, AI matching services, customer support, and dispute resolution.
Bookings
How do I book a charging session?
Find a provider, click 'Connect' or 'Book Now', and follow the checkout process. The AI will confirm your booking and provide details about the session.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, you can cancel bookings before they start. Check the booking details for cancellation policies. Cancellations may affect your trust score depending on timing.
What happens after I book?
You'll receive confirmation with provider location and contact details. Navigate to the provider, complete your charging session, and mark it as complete. Both parties can leave ratings.
Payments
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe's secure payment processing. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported on compatible devices.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. We use Stripe for payment processing, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Your card details are never stored on our servers.
When am I charged?
Your payment is processed when you confirm the booking. Funds are held securely until the session is completed, then released to the provider.
Trust & Safety
What is the trust score?
Every user has a trust score (0-100) based on completed bookings, cancellations, disputes, and overall platform behavior. Higher scores indicate more reliable users.
How does GPS verification work?
When starting a booking, we verify that both parties are within 100 meters of the agreed location. This prevents fraud and ensures legitimate transactions.
What if something goes wrong during a session?
Contact the other party through our messaging system first. If you can't resolve the issue, file a dispute. Our AI will analyze the situation and provide a fair resolution within minutes.
Disputes
How do I file a dispute?
Go to your booking details and click 'Report Issue'. Describe the problem and provide any evidence (photos, messages). The AI will review and resolve most disputes instantly.
How are disputes resolved?
Our AI Dispute Resolution Agent analyzes evidence from both parties, checks GPS data, reviews transaction history, and makes a fair decision. Refunds or partial refunds are processed automatically.
Can I appeal a dispute decision?
All AI decisions are logged and can be reviewed. Contact support if you believe a decision was unfair, and a human administrator will investigate.
AI Features
How does the AI Assistant work?
The AI Assistant can help you find power, answer questions, create bookings, check status, and more. Just type naturally and the AI will understand and assist you.
Is the AI making decisions about my money?
The AI proposes actions and you approve them before execution. The only exception is dispute resolution, where the AI makes and executes decisions instantly for faster resolution.
Can I trust the AI recommendations?
Our AI is designed to be transparent and fair. All decisions are logged and auditable. Success rates and performance metrics are tracked to ensure quality.
External Chargers
What are External Chargers?
External Chargers are third-party charging networks like Tesla Superchargers that appear on our map for reference. These are NOT EVMerx providers - they are independent charging stations.
Can I book or pay through EVMerx for External Chargers?
No. External Chargers require payment directly at the station using the charging network's own app or payment system. EVMerx only shows their locations for convenience.
Is EVMerx affiliated with Tesla or other charging networks?
No. EVMerx is an independent marketplace and has no affiliation with Tesla, ChargePoint, Electrify America, or any other charging network. External charger data is provided for reference only.
Why show External Chargers on EVMerx?
We display External Chargers to give you a complete picture of charging options in your area. You can compare EVMerx providers (where we handle everything) with public chargers (where you pay separately).
How accurate is the External Charger data?
External charger data is sourced from community databases and may not reflect real-time availability or current prices. Always verify information with the charging network's official app before traveling.
